Education

When it comes to teaching, at times teachers have to face and deal with students who enter their high school level class but are still at the learning and education level of a middle or even elementary school learner. These students barely have the basics and have very small amounts of background knowledge that can help them learn or even pass the high school level course they are taking. I went to Mr. Schwalm, a chemistry and psychology teacher, and asked how he copes or what he does when he comes across this type of student. this student barely knows the fundamentals of any subject matter and the teacher has to get them from nothing to some level so the student can pass the course. Below is Mr Schwalm's response to when this type of situation comes at him and how he and teachers in general try to geochemically transform the student from basically zero into a passing grade.
Many teachers consider themselves alchemists becasue just the idea that at the start of each school year they get a fresh batch of kids with relatively zero knowledge on the course's subject matter, and throughout the year they keep building on them and after countless exams and lessons, they become masters in tis course which is seen after usually some larger exam which the teachers are essentially leading the students up to. I again asked Mr. Schwalm if as a teacher he considers himself an alchemist, his response is below.
