Medical diseases can cause people to face so much sadness. The truth behind medicine is that sometimes the cure is simple. Some doctors say laughter can cause you to heal from almost all internal wounds. Also, treatments for once life threatening diseases are also so small and tiny. The common cold and flu once killed people and now small vaccines can cause you to never have them. In alchemy small can lead to big outcomes. This relates to medicine because small treatments can result in a lifetime of healthiness.

Genetic diseases also relates to alchemy. Humans are made up of a genetic code/DNA. Just one misprint in your DNA pattern can cause a horrible disease that can never be fixed. A small mistake can cause such drastic changes. One adenine being changed to guanine can cause Hemophilia, cystic fibrosis, Down syndrome, etc. Such a small simple mistake can cause so much damage. Small turns into big problem. This is also another example of alchemy.

All cancers begin in cells, the body's basic unit of life. To understand cancer, it's helpful to know what happens when normal cells become cancer cells. The body is made up of many types of cells. These cells grow and divide in a controlled way to produce more cells as they are needed to keep the body healthy. When cells become old or damaged, they die and are replaced with new cells. However, sometimes this replication process goes wrong. At times, a call gets screwed up and rapid as well as unnecessary replication begins to occur. When this happens, cells do not die when they should and new cells form when the body does not need them. The extra cells may form a mass of tissue called a tumor. Cancer is also an example of alchemy. Isn't it incredible how a small cell can malfunction causing a deadly disease like cancer. Such a small mistake one cell makes can cause a life changing disease like cancer.
